Partner Events

Our obvious partner races are the ones that complete the Canadian Ski Mountaineering Cup for 2008.

They are all sanctioned by the Alpine Club of Canada and at each of these races you are able to collect points towards the whole series - your best 3 out of 4 results will count.

And the partner races are:

  • Feb 3rd, 2008 - Sunshine 5000 at Sunshine Village, AB
  • Feb 23rd, 2008 - Randonnee Rally at Nelson, BC
  • April 19th, 2008 - Canadian Ski Mountaineering Championships at Whistler, BC
Mountain Storm ski mountaineering randonnee race offers you to test your ski mountaineering skills, endurance and randonnee gear. All you need to participate is a pair of backcountry or telemark skiis with alpine touring bidings. Then an avalanche beacon, avalanche probe, snow shovel and of course your climbing skins and ski pools. Mountain Storm is organized by Backcountry Safety - backcountry and avalanche safety equipment online store.
